Focus on “L’Atelier d’Isabelle”, a family owned business specializing in the interior designing of Megayachts, driven by high expectations and a know-how recognized worldwide.
Hard to imagine that from this workshop full of foam, fabric rolls and furniture being renovated, come the pillows and curtains that will soon equip the most prestigious Megayachts in the world. ID YACHTING, commonly known as “L’atelier d’Isabelle” (Isabelle’s Workshop) is a story in itself: the story of Isabelle Dimech, founder and CEO of the company, who embarked on an extraordinary adventure over 18 years ago, alongside her sisters and sister in law. This bubbly woman and her team handle the interior and exterior design of yachts over 45 meters with an expertise recognized worldwide. Her magical hands work on all kinds of fabrics and leathers, and create or renovate walls, curtains, sofas, cushions, benches and ceiling fabrics produced by the most famous luxury houses. The trademark of “l’Atelier d’Isabelle? High expectations and high-end services. Seams are invisible, wrinkles are tamed and smoothed, nothing transpires apart from the quality of the tapestry and fabrics used.
On the site of La Ciotat Shipyards, “L’atelier d’Isabelle” works exclusively as a subcontractor for global refit operators: Composite Works, Monaco Marine, or NAUTECH. Furthermore, Isabelle is also regularly being asked to work alongside renowned naval architects during the creation phase, such as Stefano Pastrovich, star architect and designer of the most beautiful Megayachts and Toy Yachts in the world.
Real success that has not stopped Isabelle to keep her feet firmly on the ground, right next to the sea. She wouldn’t leave her workshop for anything in the world. This workshop is located in the heart of the shipyard and was decades ago the infirmary for the shipyard. With the reopening of the Great Dry Dock and the arrival of Blohm & Voss La Ciotat and its shareholders MB92, orders are multiplying! As a result, the team, which usually consists of 5 to 8 people in high season, will rapidly strengthen.
Meanwhile, the hyperactive and tireless Isabelle is preparing, now personnally, an exhibition of her seabed inspired woven paintings in New York. Another way to combine expertise and high expectations.
