In 2020, the shipyard will welcome a new platform for the refit of Megayachts over 80m, served by a 4000 tonnes shiplift, and a business village operating in the refit sector.<\/p>\n<p>Developments that will consolidate the place of La Ciotat as a reference and excellence site for the maintenance and refit of superyachts over 50 meters, including megayachts over 80m.<\/p>\n<p>In order to allow the shipyard to address this constantly growing market, La Ciotat Shipyards has taken steps to quickly develop a\u00a040 000 m2 platform, able to accommodate vessels over 80 meters. This platform, which will complement and strengthen the capacity of the 200m Great Dry Dock renovated in 2016, will be served by a 4000 tonnes shiplift and will be operated in accordance with the principles that guide the operation of the site, with one public section and another area set for the exclusive use of one or more operators selected through a call for projects launched in 2017. The full platform will be ready to welcome ships as of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Simultaneously, La Ciotat Shipyards will launch the construction and commercialization of the new 12,000 m2 premises in the heart of the harbor area, to accommodate expert companies of the yachting world, selected by call for projects. These companies will benefit directly from the activity generated by the development of hosting megayachts on site, and will contribute back to the performance and reputation of the site. Delivery of the first premises are planned by 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, La Ciotat Shipyards accelerates the improvement of welcoming conditions for the vessels and their crews with a set of various measures.
