{"id":3060,"date":"2019-11-06T15:22:59","date_gmt":"2019-11-06T14:22:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.laciotat-shipyards.com\/?p=3060"},"modified":"2020-10-26T16:46:31","modified_gmt":"2020-10-26T15:46:31","slug":"professional-roundtable-discussion-la-ciotat-in-the-front-of-a-new-maritime-cluster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.laciotat-shipyards.com\/en\/professional-roundtable-discussion-la-ciotat-in-the-front-of-a-new-maritime-cluster\/","title":{"rendered":"Professional roundtable discussion: La Ciotat in the front of a new maritime Cluster?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Prior to the laying of the foundation stone of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laciotat-shipyards.com\/en\/the-upcoming-yachting-village-of-la-ciotat-is-on-tracks\/\">Yachting Village<\/a>, La Ciotat Shipyards organized on October 30, 2019 a professional roundtable discussion regarding the creation of an industrial cluster for the trades of maintenance, repair and conversion of large yachts.<\/p>\n<p>Moderated by Jean-Yves Saussol, CEO of LCS, brought together several high-level participants including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mr. Antoni Tio Sauleda, President of Barcelona Cluster Nautic,<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Ben Mennem, President of the company MB92 La Ciotat,<\/li>\n<li>Mrs. Isabelle Dimech, CEO of ID Yachting decoration,<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Gilles Guichet, CEO of the company Sud Moteurs,<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Fran\u00e7ois Lambert, General Delegate of GICAN and<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Serge Bornarel, General Delegate of the UIMM Alpes-M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These exchanges first confirmed that the site of La Ciotat had all the needed ingredients to initiate a cluster approach but requires however a thorough analysis of value chains to achieve a common axis of development and especially a joint mobilization of enterprises and institutions. Everyone agrees that the yachting industry has real specificities which justify the development of an ad hoc industrial cluster, they must not be an excuse to turn their back to the components of the shipbuilding industry, for which France has a recognized excellence worldwide.
