As the platform is intended to become an iconic and game-changing feature of the shipyard, it is important for LCS that it stands out of the crowd. Meeting all LCS expectations, Mr. Labastie presented an idea that was innovative and also recalled the long history of the yards. It was therefore adopted unanimously by the project team.<\/p>\n<p>Based in La Ciotat, the firm employs 5 people and has already worked on several seafront projects in the region: the \u201cesplanade Charles de Gaulle\u201d in Cassis, the redevelopment of La Ciotat\u2019s Old Port, the construction of technical facilities in Toulon and Br\u00e9gaillon.<\/p>\n<p>The contract awarded to Sebastien Labastie and his team covers the construction of the control room of the shiplift and other technical buildings (storage, changing facilities, etc.) plus the general supervision of the visual design of all the other features of the project.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLiving and working in La Ciotat, it is a very symbolic and meaningful project for me. It is great to work on such an amazing place, full of history and with a high cultural challenge. The platform is built on the old slipway, once used for the construction of oil and gas tankers.
