He will work in close collaboration with Guillaume Lopez, recently recruited as Port Safety Officer by the Bouches-du-Rh\u00f4ne Department to reinforce the exercise of port police missions in La Ciotat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u00e9o and Guillaume will have the heavy task of preparing together the implementation of the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) code, which will be fully deployed at the start of the 2022 academic year. Their work programme will include the strengthening of video protection with the installation of new cameras by LCS from this summer throughout the site, as well as the gradual stepping up of controls at the entrance to the worksites.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Everything must be in place by September 2022 for the delivery of the Atlas-4300t platform, which will host new units over 80m. Indeed, safety plays a significant role in the choice of a refit shipyard by the owners, captains and crews of these ships.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00ab <em>We have barely 1 year to meet the requirements of the International Code for the Security of Ships and Ports. The first step we have already undertaken with the Department and the contractors is to carry out an assessment of the port facilities in order to define a &#8220;security plan&#8221;<\/em>. \u00bb explains L\u00e9o Lacarri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to strengthening port security and preventing malicious acts, the role of Guillaume and L\u00e9o will also be to improve the effective operation of the site, by fighting more effectively against damage to the maritime public domain in general, and to the environment in particular.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For Jean-Yves Saussol, CEO of LCS, \u00ab <em>We must salute the Department&#8217;s commitment to strengthening the field resources of the port police, which accompanies our company&#8217;s efforts to develop the activity of the port of La Ciotat.
